At the June Biennial Alumni Day, outgoing president George Tsetsilas '57 announced two special awards:
The Bradford V. Ek Honored Alumnus award went to Nancy Ek '57 for her long-time affiliation with the Alumni Association and time served as Treasurer and Craft Fair co-chair (pictured left).
The Academy has two new Honorary Alumni: Senator James Rausch and Gerald O'Donnell. The honor is bestowed to those who have demonstrated genuine affection and dedication to Pinkerton Academy. Congratulations!
George Tsetsilas accepted a silver engraved gavel from the Association board for his tremendous four years as President. George became President at a crucial time for me, as I was alone in the Alumni Office for just under a year upon Robin Perrin's retirement from his post. I could not have survived without his project management and organizational skills!
The board has several new members, and many seasoned directors that have been working hard for the past two years. For a complete roster, click here.
Summer at the Academy is busy for the Alumni Center! Feel free to stop by if you would like the dime tour. Many reunions are scheduled for August and September, so be sure to check in frequently for details. You can follow us on Facebook and Twitter! We would love to hear from you.
Wishing you a wonderful summer!

The Craft Fair to be held at Pinkerton Academy on October 18 is currently full. We have a waiting list for those crafters who are interested. Please email Patty Blair at firstname.lastname@example.org with a description of your craft, name, address, and phone number. You may also indicate how much notice you will need if selected (for example: one week, two days, or the morning of the fair etc.). For those who have already registered, your cancelled check is confirmation. A member of the committee will call or email you one week before the fair to give you additional information (such as arrival and set up information, parking etc.).
2014 marks the 200th anniversary of Pinkerton Academy and much is planned. Click HERE or on the image for more information - or call Anne Parker in the Alumni Center at 603-437-5217. Pictured: Dedicated Pinkerton employees recently completed sewing special 200 year logos onto the winter sport uniforms. The Old Academy Building is open to the public during the week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A historical display, which features the photos of former Headmaster Edmund Angell, occupies the Olive Abbott gallery space on the first floor. Eagle Scout Andy Stock '14 along with Derry Town Historian, Richard Holmes, made the display possible. Photos are of Derry and Pinkerton from the late 1800's.
